Leigh sign Hemingway

Leigh Centurions have moved fast to snap up Huddersfield Giants‘ Tom Hemingway on a one-month loan deal.

Hemingway trained with his new teammates for the first time last night, and has been drafted in for Sunday’s trip to Whitehaven, should clearance from the RFL be obtained in time.

22-year-old Hemingway has previously had spells with Batley and Halifax, and has made just one appearance for the Giants this season.

Leigh’s Head Coach, Paul Rowley, said: “Tom Hemingway is an up and coming prospect who has probably been unlucky with injuries in recent seasons but he’s got great potential and I feel that we are really lucky to have him onboard.

“He looked very sharp in training and it hopefully won’t take him too long to fit in and become a brilliant acquisition for us.”
