It was for their part in a brawl in the recent game against Widnes Vikings at Hilton Park. Vikings prop Gareth Price was handed a £150 fine and a three game ban, but Mark Smith was found not guilty.Meanwhile, Leigh Centurions are pleased to announce that this Sunday Hilton Park Leigh will play host to a very prestigeous match involving the Leigh Centurions Academy.

A mixed squad compiled of mainly Under 18's contracted players & a handful Under 21's players will square off against the Scotland Students International Youth Team, ahead of their forthcoming students European Nations campaign, which is taking place in Widnes.

Needless to say that Leigh Centurions view this match as a great honour, and would like to encourage fans who will not be attending the first team match at Bridgend to come along to Hilton Park and pledge support for junior Rugby League in the Leigh area.

The scottish team have promised us a feast of Rugby League on the day, and negotiations are now under way to attract other international teams in this competition.

Play kicks off at 2pm on Sunday 18th March, at Leigh's Hilton Park Stadium.
