Leigh pair Peter Mata’utia and Matty Dawson-Jones handed Grade E charges

Leigh duo Peter Mata’utia and Matty Dawson-Jones have received Grade E charges following their red cards against Leeds.

Mata’utia was charged with a Grade E dangerous throw in the Centurions’ 52-22 defeat to the Rhinos in the Challenge Cup quarter-final. It will be referred to a tribunal.

Dawson-Jones has been handed a Grade E charge for questioning the integrity of a match official. This case will also be referred to a tribunal.

Leeds prop Anthony Mullally received a Grade A charge for raising his knees in a tackle against Leigh. He will serve a one-match penalty notice.

Elsewhere, Danny Brough has received a Grade B charge for dangerous contact in Huddersfield Giants’ 20-6 defeat to Catalans Dragons. He has been given a two-match penalty notice.

Castleford Tigers’ Alex Foster has received a caution for other contrary behaviour, Leigh half-back Ben Reynolds has been cautioned for disputing a decision, while Wigan Warriors full-back Sam Tomkins was handed a caution for raising his knees in the tackle.

Huddersfield duo Daniel Smith and Sebastine Ikahihifo received cautions for dangerous contacts.
