Leigh lose Kevin Henderson for possible Grand Final appearance

Leigh Centurions’ Kevin Henderson will miss the Championship Grand Final through suspension, should Leigh beat Sheffield on Thursday. 

Henderson has been handed a two match ban by the RFL for a high tackle during his side’s loss to Featherstone Rovers last week. The ban means Henderson will miss Thursday’s match as well as the Grand Final if Leigh make it.

If Leigh beat Sheffield the Centurions will take on Featherstone again in the Grand Final at Warrington’s Halliwell Jones Stadium. 

Workington’s Andrew Morris has also bee suspended for two matches after performing a dangerous throw during his side’s 26-2 win against Whitehaven.

Morris will also miss the Championship 1 final, should Workington defeat Championship 1 league leaders Doncaster in the final eliminator at the Keepmoat Stadium.
