Leigh forward Sam Brooks given two-match ban

Leigh prop Sam Brooks has been given a two-match ban for a shoulder charge. 

The 26-year-old has been given a two-match suspension by the match review panel for a Grade B shoulder charge in Leigh’s 36-10 win over Batley in the Challenge Cup.

Brooks was sin-binned for a shoulder charge on Alistair Leak in the 65th minute.

Elsewhere, North Wales’ Earl Hurst will serve a one-match suspension for a Grade B high tackle on Hunslet centre Tom Ashton.

Featherstone’s James Lockwood has been given a one-match penalty notice for Grade B other contrary behaviour in their Cup tie against Barrow. He was alleged to have kicked out at Dan Toal.

Newcastle prop Colton Roche has been banned for a game for a Grade B high tackle on Keighley’s Jack Miller.
