Leigh duo handed one match bans

Leigh Centurions duo Tommy Gallagher and Stuart Littler have both been suspended for one match after the RFL Disciplinary Committee found them guilty of committing offences during their Northern Rail Cup game against Hunslet Hawks.

Gallagher was suspended after he was found guilty of applying unnecessary pressure during a tackle in the 42nd minute while Littler received his suspension for a high-tackle committed in the 68th minute of the game which the Centurions won 30-12.

Both players were fined £50 by the disciplinary panel.

Halifax forward Dane Manning has been banned for one match after the RFL Disciplinary Committee found him guilty of committing a Grade A striking offence during Halifax’s 32-34 defeat to Featherstone Rovers in the Northern Rail Cup.

Featherstone’s Michael Hayley has avoided suspension after he was charged with a Grade A striking offence occurring in the same fixture.

Workington Town player Elliott Miller has also been banned for one match after he was found guilty of committing a Grade A striking offence during Workington’s Northern Rail Cup derby game against Whitehaven.

Miller and Manning were also fined £50 by the panel.

The following Co-operative Championships players have also received suspensions after submitting Early Guilty Pleas:

Stuart Dickens (Featherstone Rovers) – Two match suspension for Grade C striking offence (head-butting) in the 54th minute versus Halifax.

Andy Bostock (Featherstone Rovers) – One match suspension for Grade B intentional striking offence (punching) in the 54th minute versus Halifax.

David Hoctor (North Wales Crusaders) – Two match suspension for Grade C violent conduct offence (punching) in the 66th minute versus Halifax Under-23s.
