Leigh have signed St Helens youngsters Josh Eaves and Matty Foster and Warrington pair Nathan Roebuck and Tom Burnett on loan.

The quartet will all be available for the Centurions’ pre-season game against the Wolves on Friday, which is Chris Hill’s testimonial.

It has been put back 24 hours to enable Leigh to get a squad together for the match, having been hit by injury and forced isolation periods within their squad.

Hooker Eaves has already played for Leigh before, scoring four tries in eight appearances in 2019, and has made three first-team appearances for Saints, while back-rower Foster made his Super League debut last year.

Outside backs Roebuck, 21, and Burnett, 18, join another Wolves loanee at Leigh, centre Keanan Brand.

Coach John Duffy said: “Josh has played for us before and we know all about him and what he will bring to the club.

“We have been watching Matty towards the end of last season and start of this. They are two good, young, keen Super League players who will add youthfulness and enthusiasm and push for places in the team and bring out the best in others.

“I watched Nathan last year in a very youthful Warrington team that played Salford. Keanan Brand also played in that game. Nathan made 17 carries and impressed as a big, powerful unit who will benefit from the experience he will get with us.

“Tom is a big, athletic outside back who will add youthful experience and hopefully also get some game time during his time with us.”

All four players are on initial two-week loan deals with the option to extend.
