Batley have signed young centre Jack Broadbent on a month’s loan from Leeds.

The 17-year-old has yet to make his first-team debut for the Rhinos, but has made three appearances for Featherstone via dual-registration, scoring two tries.

Broadbent was born in Batley and played his junior rugby for Batley Boys, before moving to Dewsbury Moor.

The Yorkshire Academy Origin player scored 12 tries in 20 games for the Rhinos Academy last season.

Broadbent will be available to play for the Bulldogs in their upcoming games against Widnes, Toronto, Swinton and York.
