Leeds players considering hectic weekend

Six of Leeds’ squad have been selected for Friday night’s Test match against France, with the majority contemplating playing again in the Super League within 24 hours.nnHalf-backs Danny McGuire and Rob Burrow, second rower Gareth Ellis, prop Jamie Peacock, centre Keith Senior and captain Kevin Sinfield have all been chosen in head coach Tony Smith’s 19-man squad for the Gillette international in Toulouse.nnDespite facing a home fixture against Super League‘s whipping boys Castleford the night after, Leeds coach Brian McLennan will be eager to have his strongest squad available, after seeing his side’s lead over St Helens cut to just two points following back-to-back defeats.nnAnd he received welcome news from his young stars earlier today, who admitted they would be willing to feature in both games within 24 hours.nnThe more senior players, such as Peacock, 30, and Senior, 32, admitted they won’t be able to pull it off, but explained that the younger players were giving it serious thought.nn”There’s no chance I’ll be playing but there is a chance some of the younger guys might double up,” explained Peacock.nnIt’s clear that the enthusiasm and drive is there from Leeds’ youngsters, though.nn”It’s something that I’m hoping to do. It depends on my game on Friday. It’s easy to pick up a few injuries but, if I’m fit and able, I’ll put my name forward to play,” said Ellis.
