Leeds Rhinos Chief Executive Gary Hetherington has revealed that his club will have a formula to decide who they will face in the engage Super League Grand Final Qualification Semi Final.

As the top seed in the final round of play off games Leeds will become the first team in history to be given the opportunity to select their play-off opponents. The defending champions will be able to choose between the winners of Friday’s clash between Huddersfield and Catalans Dragons or Saturday’s game between Hull KR and Wigan Warriors.

The team not picked by the Rhinos will face St Helens, who booked their Qualifying Semi-final place by defeating Huddersfield Giants 15-2.

Sunday’s historic ClubCall will be broadcast live on both Sky Sports News and BBC One’s Super League Show at 1.30pm.

Chief Executive Gary Hetherington commented, “We are delighted to have got through at the first time of asking on Friday night against Hull KR and secured a home semi final. As far as the Club Call is concerned, we will have a strategy for deciding who we pick which we will reveal before announcing our pick at Sunday’s press conference.

“Myself, Brian and the coaching staff will decide on who our pick will be. The players are not bothered who we play because they know that every team will be extremely tough just 80 minutes away from Old Trafford,” added Hetherington.
