Leeds forward pair ruled out

Challenge Cup finalists Leeds will be without Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Chris Clarkson for their final regular league season match of the year.

The Rhinos face Hull needing to avoid defeat to secure a top four finish, but must do so without two of their forward pack, who have joined Jamie Peacock on the sidelines, after picking up injuries in the 30-6 final defeat against Warrington.

Jones-Buchanan has had scans on his injured foot but requires further scans and will see a specialist to ascertain the full extent of the injury. Clarkson picked up an ankle injury and will not recover in time for Saturday’s game.

Head Coach Brian McClennan said, “It is disappointing for Jamie and Chris that they will miss out this week. However, that presents an opportunity for someone else. This is a big game for us and Hull and we know that we need to produce a quality performance.”
