Leeds have posted a 14-point victory over Yorkshire rivals Bradford today.

The Bulls started strongly, Kris Welham getting a try on debut after regathering his own grubber kick.

In the 18th minute Danny McGuire responded for the Rhinos.

Nine minutes later Adam O’Brien was in for Bradford. Then Tom Briscoe scored in the corner to make it 12-10 to the Bulls at the break.

In the second half Ryan Hall touched down to give Leeds the lead, one they would never yield.

Mitch Achurch crossed for the Rhinos but poor goal-kicking from Zak Hardaker kept Bradford in touch.

Tries to Rob Burrow and Beau Fallon finished off the game for Leeds. The Bulls were plucky and determined but could not get over the Rhinos’ line in the second half.

The Super League champions finished up 26-12 winners.
