Leeds came out on top in a high scoring encounter against Hull at Headingley.

Keith Senior and Ryan Hall scored two tries each as Brian McClennan’s side continued their return to form after a slow start to the season.

The Rhinos led 16-10 at the break, but were stunned in to action when Tom Briscoe‘s hat-trick try got Hull back in to the game.

Five tries in 21 minutes from Ali Lauitiiti, Senior, Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Danny McGuire proved enough to earn the home side the two points, despite late scores from Jordan Turner and Briscoe’s fourth.

Hull coach Richard Agar was disappointed his side managed to score 30 points and not come away with anything from the game.

He said: “To come here and score as many points as we did, and to create even more chances, should be enough to win the game.

“But defensively if you miss your one-on-ones and let them offload like we did then you pay a heavy price, especially against a team with so much pace.”
