Leeds 21-20 Huddersfield

Kevin Sinfield‘s last minute drop goal gave Leeds the narrowest of victories over play-off rivals Huddersfield at Headingley.

In a tight first half, the two teams exchanged tries through Chris Clarkson and Shaun Lunt, with a Sinfield conversion separating the sides at the break.

David Hodgson scored his 20th and 21st tries of the season for the Giants as they took the initiative in the second half, but Ryan Hall pegged them back with a score of his own.

Larne Patrick edged Huddersfield further in front before Danny McGuire‘s try tied things up at 20-20, before Sinfield’s late show, knocking over a drop goal from 25 metres with just seconds remaining.
