League One sides 80 minutes from Blackpool date

Four League One sides are just 80 minutes away from a date at the Summer Bash in Blackpool after winning through in the iPro Sport Cup at the weekend.

Newcastle Thunder recorded the win of the weekend, defeating York 38-24 on their own patch, coming back from 18-10 at half time.

They will face Swinton for a place in the final, after the Lions beat Keighley 24-22 at Cougar Park. Chris Atkin followed up his record breaking performance in the Challenge Cup last weekend with a try and four goals for the Lions, who will have home advantage in the semi-final.

Oldham will host North Wales Crusaders in the other semi-final after both won through at the weekend.

The Roughyeds came home 32-10 winners at Barrow, while Crusaders eased past Rochdale 28-4.

Swinton Lions v Newcastle Thunder

Oldham v North Wales Crusaders 

The semi-final will be played over the weekend of March 28 and 29.

 

The iPro Sport Cup final will be played at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool on Saturday May 23 as part of the Summer Bash.
