League 1 round-up: Chisholm breaks records, Doncaster bounce back, York edge Hunslet

There were a number of entertaining games in League 1 on the weekend.

Judah Mazive scored two tries to help York City Knights edge past Hunslet 26-24 at South Leeds Stadium on Sunday. Hull KR full-back Will Dagger played for the Knights on dual-registration.

Dane Chisholm set new club records for goals kicked and points scored as Bradford Bulls thrashed West Wales Raiders 124-0 at Odsal on Sunday. Chisholm kicked 20 goals and scored 48 points in total. Matty Garside and Elliot Minchella both scored hat-tricks.

North Wales Crusaders pulled off a good 25-22 win at Whitehaven on Sunday. St Helens hooker Josh Eaves played for Haven on loan, while Widnes’ Brad Walker featured for Crusaders on dual-registration.

Oldham eased past Newcastle Thunder 28-12 at Bower Fold on Sunday. Kieran Gill, Danny Bridge, Dave Eccleston, Phil Joy and Craig Briscoe all got on the scoresheet.

Keighley Cougars put on a brilliant show at Cougar Park on Sunday afternoon. They ran in 17 tries to beat Coventry Bears 98-6. Adam Ryder grabbed a hat-trick for the Cougars, while Rhys Gant scored the Bears’ only try.

Workington Town beat Hemel Stags 60-12 at Pennine Way on Sunday. Caine Barnes scored two tries for Town and Elliot Miller crossed the whitewash three times.

Two tries from Hakim Miloudi and two from Kieran Cross guided Doncaster to a 42-18 victory over London Skolars at New River Stadium on Saturday. Elliott Hall scored two for the Skolars.

Bradford and York are joint top of the League 1 table, while Hemel and West Wales sit bottom on zero points.
