League 1 Round-Up: Bradford win, York crowd and Hakim Miloudi breaking records

There were over 4,000 fans at one League 1 match this weekend while there were several close games in the third-tier.

York City Knights and Bradford Bulls opened the Betfred League 1 season in emphatic fashion, with the Bulls beating the Knights 22-20 in front of a 4,281 crowd at Bootham Crescent.

Jymel Coleman added a penalty goal in the 79th minute to snatch a point for London Skolars at North Wales Crusaders, with the game finishing 24-24 in Wales.

Hakim Miloudi equalled a club record of scoring 32 points for Doncaster, helping the Dons achieve a fantastic 70-10 win against Coventry Bears at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Paul Crook kicked five goals to help Oldham 14-0 edge past his former club Whitehaven at the Recreation Ground.

Workington Town were downed 44-34 at Keighley Cougars while Hunslet comfortably beat 28-14 at Hemel Stags.

Newcastle Thunder’s 720-mile round-trip to West Wales Raiders was postponed due to a doctor not having correct kit.
