Leaeno set for Wildcats bow

Wakefield are set to hand a debut to new signing Charlie Leaeno in Friday’s Super League clash with Leeds.

Leaeno, 24, arrived at the Hearwell Stadium last week after joining the Wildcats from Australian club Newtown Jets.

The Samoan has previously played top flight rugby league in the NRL with St George-Illawarra and Canterbury Bulldogs, and has filled the void left by Shane Tronc, who left the Wildcats earlier in the season citing homesickness.

Also included in John Kear’s squad are Glenn Morrison and Ben Jeffries, who both return from injury.
