Wakefield back-rower Ali Lauitiiti believes that he is close to making a return to action, after being out for almost a month with an ankle problem.
Lauitiiti sustained the injury in the Challenge Cup defeat to Leigh on May 17, and has not been happy to be away from the side.
“I did damage to my ankle ligaments, I actually tore a few of them,” he told his club’s official website.
“I also strained some of the ligaments in my knee as well. The injury has not turned out to be as serious as we first thought.
“It was quite frustrating, more so that we lost against Leigh. But to then suffer an injury on top of this made the situation worse.
“I will hopefully start running on the surface next week and then another week or two and I will be back in full time training.”
