Lauaki loves the Challenge Cup

Bradford Bulls prop Epalahame Lauaki is looking forward to becoming reacquainted with the Challenge Cup this weekend.

The Bulls welcome Workington Town to Odsal in the fourth round of the Cup this Sunday.

“I’ve had some good times in the Challenge Cup,” the Tongan forward told the Bradford Telegraph & Argus.

“At Wigan in 2012, I played in the semi-finals when we lost to Leeds and then the year after we won at Hull KR in the quarter-finals.

“We ended up winning the Challenge Cup that season but injuries meant I couldn’t play in the final and the games leading up to it.

“That was frustrating – but I’m here again and to play in the competition with the boys at Bradford would be great.

“The Challenge Cup is a different kind of footie and every player loves to be involved in it. To achieve success in both competitions would be awesome and is the ultimate goal for us as players.”
