Hull KR coach Chris Chester has revealed that the Robins’ French backrower Kevin Larroyer could be back in action sooner than expected.

The Frenchman turned his ankle in the heavy Magic Weekend defeat to Hull FC on Saturday, and it was feared that he could be absent for some time to come.

Kevin Larroyer‘s ankle injury isn’t as bad as we first thought it was going to be,” Chester told the Hull Daily Mail.

“He rolled his ankle and the swelling has since gone down.

“It looked a lot more serious on Saturday but we hope he could be available for Friday’s match against Castleford.”

Albert Kelly and Shaun Lunt could also return for the Robins’ tussle with Castleford on Friday.

Kelly is more likely to play than Lunt, Chester confirmed, but props Mitch Allgood, Dane Tilse and Adam Walker are all set to miss out.

Graeme Horne and Greg Burke are also sidelined for Rovers.
