Langley weary of cup upset

Bradford loose forward Jamie Langley is refusing to write Leigh off ahead of their Challenge Cup tie this weekend.

Langley, 26, will miss Robbie Paul‘s return to Odsal through injury but points to Barrow’s defeat of Castleford as a reason why the Bulls should not be taking the Centurions lightly.

The loose forward said: “We all saw what Barrow did to Castleford in the last round and there will be no complacency from us.

“I’ve never played in a Challenge Cup final and that is still one of my big ambitions.

“I was still an Academy player when we beat Leeds in 2000 and was only a squad member at Cardiff three years later.

“It was still awesome to be part of the experience and I’m sure Robbie will enjoy his day back at Odsal.”

Bradford have played Leigh on eight occasions in the Challenge Cup, winning five.

On both the occasions Leigh have won the Challenge Cup, in 1921 and 1971, they have beaten Bradford on the way. The last time the Centurions beat Bradford was a 24-14 victory in 1994.
