St Helens have confirmed that Lama Tasi has signed a two-year deal with the club, and will join them from Salford ready for the 2016 campaign.

The Samoan international, 25, is a front rower who has played for Sydney Roosters and Brisbane Broncos in the NRL.

“Lama is a great acquisition for the club and will add a great deal to our pack next season,” said Saints coach Keiron Cunningham.

“He carries the ball well; is big, strong and powerful and at 25 it’s frightening to think he still can improve.

“We are all excited at the prospect of working with him.

“With the youngsters we have coming through the system here, as well as the experience the senior players bring, we have a good balanced squad for this season and beyond.”
