Mal Meninga has added Adrian Lam and Michael Hagan to his backroom staff with the Australian national team.

Meninga took over the head coach role at the Kangaroos from now Salford director of rugby Tim Sheens last year, and has now added Lam and Hagan to his staff.

Ex-Newcastle Knights head coach Hagan has joined Meninga’s backroom team as the Team Manager, whilst former Wigan Warriors star Lam has been appointed as the Performance Analyst.

“I’m excited about the opporunity to be involved with the best players in the game and also to be working with Mal again,” Hagan told Eurosport.com.

“This is a slightly different role to what I’ve been used to in the past but it is a good progression for where I am at now.”
