Lakers agree second sponsor

Doncaster Lakers have agreed a second major sponsor for their 2007 shirts.

Following the link with Doncaster College as their major shirt sponsor, both the home and away kits will carry the Lakeside village below the collar on the backs of the shirt.

Lakers CEO Dave King said: "Dave King said: "The Lakeside Village is an ideal partner for the club to have with its near-by location and family-based reputation."

He continued: "As a club we are aiming to mirror their family values and there are many mutual benefits to come from this partnership. The Lakeside Village, with its massive array of shops ranging from Clarks to Marks and Spencer's, has been the scene of numerous Lakers road shows over the last year. Cheryl Sadler and Laura Clarkson of the Lakeside Village have been aware of our ambitions as a leading club in the sport of Rugby League and are keen to support our family image."

Cheryl Sadler, aforementioned, said of the announcement: "The Lakers are a forward thinking organisation and becoming shirt sponsors of the club is a tremendous honour for our brand. There are fantastic opportunities for both parties with this partnership and we look forward to a long term relationship with the club."
