Warrington forward James Laithwaite suffered a broken ankle playing for Swinton against Featherstone on Monday.

Dual-registered Laithwaite, 21, picked up the injury in the 38-18 defeat and is expected to be out for six weeks.

He tweeted: “Absolutely gutted, this is all I need.”

Laithwaite made his Wolves debut at Hull KR last month, and has made five appearances for the Lions this term.

He previously spent time on loan at Hull KR and Leigh.
