Laithwaite signs Leigh deal

Young Warrington forward James Laithwaite has joined Leigh on a dual registration deal.

Laithwaite, 20, was part of the Wolves Under 20s team that reached the Valvoline Cup Grand Final last season and represented England Under 18s against Australia in 2010.

He will link up with centre Ryan Shaw, who is also with Leigh on a similar deal.

The Centurions, who almost went out of business at the end of last season, have previously signed Wigan’s Matty Russell and Tom Spencer on dual registration deals to bolster Paul Rowley’s squad, thinned due to the financial problems of the autumn.
