Kylie Leuluai sidelined for six more weeks

Leeds prop Kylie Leuluai is set for a further six-week spell on the sidelines, Rhinos coach Brian McDermott has confirmed.

The 37-year-old Kiwi has not played since the game with Warrington last month. The injury has now finally been properly identified, however.

“We thought his biceps were the problem but he’s actually got a bit of floating tissue in his shoulder which he’s going to have cleaned out,” McDermott explained.

“He will be out for anything from between four to six weeks.

“He has still got an important role to play with us.

“I think we’ve missed him over Easter, not just the extra body, but some of the direct carries he gives you.”
