Whitehaven have re-signed forward Kurt Maudling for the 2019 season.

Maudling has returned to Haven after leaving follow Cumbrian club, Workington Town.

He made seven appearances for Whitehaven in 2017 after making his debut in the League 1 Cup clash against Workington.

On returning to the Recreation Ground, Maudling said: “I’m excited to be re-joining the club and working with Charlo [Gary Charlton] and the coaching staff.

“I know a number of the boys and it’s going to be great being part of a local squad.

“I’m a Whitehaven lad and I’m looking forward to playing for my hometown club once again.”

Whitehaven head coach, Gary Charlton, commented: “I’ve known Kurt for a long time and I know what he will bring to the team.

“He is liable to break a defensive line and he will also bring plenty of competition for places as he can play quite a few positions.”
