Kuni Minga handed rugby league lifeline by St Gaudens

Papua New Guinean winger Kuni Minga has signed for French Championship side St Gaudens XIII following his release by Toulouse.

Minga, 24, recently had a proposed move to Featherstone Rovers blocked due to not meeting strict visa requirements on number of games played.

He had been on trial with Perpignan rugby union club USAP, but has now penned a deal to stay in rugby league.

Toulouse confirmed his release after he scored 19 tries in 18 appearances for them last season, with coach Sylvain Houles saying that he could no longer afford the winger the special treatment he was receiving from the club.
