Catalans Dragons have confirmed that Krisnan Inu has signed a one-year deal to play for the club in 2016.

The threequarter, who won the World Cup with New Zealand in 2008, joined the Dragons from rugby union outfit Stade Francais earlier this season.

Since then, he has played 12 games and scored seven tries in the famous ‘sang et or’ shirt.

“I would like to thank the club, in particular Bernard Guasch, Laurent Frayssinous and the staff for having belief in me and my ability to contribute to the 2016 season,” said Inu.

“I’m happy to be a Dragon for another season, and I hope to make it a big one for all the players, old and new, and especially for our great fans.”

Dragons coach Laurent Frayssinous is very pleased to have secured the services of the player for another season.

“I am delighted that Krisnan has chosen to stay with us next season,” he said.

“He is a really talented player, who can do what only a few players in Super League can do.

“He settled in really well here and showed some great qualities with us since his arrival, although he does have to improve his consistency.

“He will have a break during the off season for the first time in two years, so it will allow him to recharge the batteries and work hard when the pre-season begins.”
