Salford owner Marwan Koukash plans to personally the Red Devils’ case in the appeal against the sanction for allegedly breaking the salary cap.

Salford’s appeal against the six-point deduction will heard by Independent Sport Resolutions on July 6 in Manchester.

Koukash intends to lead from the front.

“I am being advised by my lawyers but I have every intention of presenting the case,” Koukash told PA Sport.

“I am confident because we did not go over the cap and we have evidence to prove it.

“I’m looking forward to it. It has caused me a lot of anxiety and stress but I am determined to fight on behalf of our players and fans.”

Salford are also facing a hearing on July 14 on crowd trouble at their Super League game with Huddersfield at Easter.
