Salford owner Dr Marwan Koukash has waded into the row surrounding Sam Burgess and his return to rugby league from rugby union.
With union looking in utter disarray in England, as a whole host of former players, many of whom were nominal amateurs, have weighed in with critical comments.
Bath RUFC coach Mike Ford, a former league professional, seems to have ‘gone native’ in the other code, and has, ridiculuously, asserted that Burgess has a lack of heart.
Koukash has backed the South Sydney legend, however, and has warned other league players about the potential perils of converting.
“It is disgusting to read some of comments by RU media regarding Sam Burgess,” Koukash tweeted.
“Any RL player thinking of playing Union should think again.”
