Koukash relaxed about Salford winding up petition

Salford owner Dr Marwan Koukash has stated that the winding up petition issued against his club is nothing to be concerned about.

Print company Konica Minolta lodged the petition on June 23, but Koukash only found out about it on Friday July 10.

A hearing is scheduled for August 10.

“I only found out about it this afternoon, said Koukash on Friday.

It’s a small bill, only £4,000-£5,000, less than one per cent of my annual investment in the club.

“It’ll be sorted out on Monday morning.”
