Huddersfield prop Craig Kopczak is looking to use last season’s play-off experience as a base to build on during the coming campaign.
While the Giants took home the League Leaders’ Shield, their play-off campaign stalled at the semi-final stage, when they were beaten by Warrington.
“For me, it was my first time to get that close to a grand final,” Kopczak told Love Rugby League.
“Some had been there and experienced it already. But this time around it’s given us a sniff of success, and we want to go out and get some more.
“That’s the feeling around the camp – that we want to go out there and get that trophy now.
“Being so close has just spurred us on even more.”
“He’s a fantastic signing, a great player and a great person,” Kopczak said.
“A great addition to our squad, and he takes pressure off the rest of the forwards.
“It’ll be fantastic to see him in a Huddersfield shirt.”
