Kopczak hails Wales’ league future

Salford and Wales prop Craig Kopczak believes that qualifying for the 2017 World Cup will give our game a massive boost in Wales.

Wales beat Italy 20-14 in Monza at the weekend to sesure their spot in the tournament, where they will be in a group with Papua New Guinea and Ireland, and will also face Fiji.

“The game in Wales is growing,” Kopczak told BBC Radio Wales Sport.

“It’s getting bigger and bigger with a lot more homegrown players coming through.

“Hopefully a lot more people will come and watch and see a lot of talent on show.

“We’ve got a lot of young, exciting prospects in the Super League now as well and it’s great to see.”
