Knights skipper Gidley sidelined

Kurt Gidley is facing up to a month on the sidelines with a knee injury suffered in the match against Melbourne.

Gidley has undergone surgery to repair a torn meniscus cartilage suffered when he hyperextended his kicking a conversion in the 34-22 defeat at AAMI Park.

The Knights are hopeful of welcoming skipper Gidley back for the round eight clash with Penrith at Hunter Stadium.
