Knights sign Osborne on loan

York City Knights have bolstered their forward power by signing Hull’s Ross Osborne on loan for the Kingstone Press League 1 Super 8s.

The 19-year-old spent a month on loan at the Knights in 2016 and head coach James Ford was pleased to bring him back for a second spell at the Minster City.

“He’s a big lad, he carries the ball well, he can pass and he makes good contact defensively,” said Ford. “He’s got the tools to be a very good player as he matures.

“We’ve got seven very tough games coming up and I’m confident that Ross can make an important contribution to the squad.”

Hull boss Lee Radford added: “This is a great opportunity for Ross to get some first team football.

“Ross is going to York to showcase his skills and hopefully show the development he’s made since his last loan spell with them.

“We are very much looking to see him perform in some crucial games for the Knights.”
