Leeds prop Ian Kirke has signed a new two-year deal with the Super League champions.

Kirke, 32, joined the Rhinos in 2006 and head coach Brian McDermott has rewarded the forward, who has made over 100 appearances for the Yorkshire club, with a new contract.

McDermott said: “Every successful team needs players who have the attributes that Ian brings to our team.

“He is a complete professional who takes great care of himself and always gives his all for the team.”

Kirke is in the Rhinos squad as Leeds take on St Helens on Monday night.
