Kingstone Press League 1 Preview: Keighley Cougars v Barrow Raiders

Paul Crarey, the Barrow Raiders coach, felt that his team had had to work hard against Coventry Bears last time out.

“Coventry gave us a test,” he said.

The game was very slow in the first half, it was very stop-start, there was no flow in the game. When we were allowed to play we scored 24 unanswered points.

“For us to play in our style it needs to be quick and quick it will be on Sunday against Keighley.

“It’s a challenge for our team to finish off the season really well. We’ve had a really tough year with regards to personnel and injuries but we’ve still remained competitive.

“We’ve probably got the smallest squad in the league and the least experienced but we’ve done really well as a group. It’s important we finish these last four games on a high and work as hard as we can to get a result.”
