Hull KR utility back Kieren Moss has joined Championship side Halifax RLFC on loan until the end of the 2018 season.

Moss has scored 17 tries in 24 appearances for the Robins and has spent time on dual registration with York City Knights in League One in 2018.

The 24-year-old joined Tim Sheens’ side from Bradford Bulls, but has found chances hard to come by in the first team squad and will link up with Halifax for the rest of the season.

Hull KR have confirmed that Moss can not play against the Robins if the two sides are to meet in the Qualifiers.

On the signing, Halifax head coach Richard Marshall told the club’s official website: “Kieren’s been in and around Super League for the last couple of years

“We played against him at Bradford and he has always impressed me, whether that be playing at full-back or on the wing.

“When the opportunity came to bring Kieren to the club, we jumped at it. He obviously fills the void after QLT left and we acted swiftly to do that to secure him on loan to club until until the end of the season.

“We have to thank the LS28 Supporters Group who have helped contribute to this deal and to Mike Smith (Hull KR CEO) for agreeing to the deal. He brings pace, skill and a fantastic try scoring record.

“He’s young and still got some development still to go. Scoring points is an area of improvement for us and we’ve brought him in to aid that. But, that won’t be to the detriment of our defence. If he can add tries to our group that would be brilliant but more Super League experience will benefit the group.”
