Kevin Locke offers to resign from Salford

Salford owner Dr Marwan Koukash has co firmed that Kevin Locke has offered his resignation to the Red Devils.

The 26-year-old Kiwi international has not played for the club since May 1, and has now written to the club offering to resign.

Koukash revealed that the club is considering the letter, and is yet to decide how to react.

“He has sent a resignation request to the club,” Koukash said, according to Press Association Sport.

“We have not yet responded.

“I will be making a full statement, revealing our side of the story, on Tuesday.”

BBC Sport reports that the player has an unresolved issue with the club regarding unpaid wages.

Koukash reacted to the story on Twitter, by stating:

“Some more interesting claims coming out today. Wow It is going to make next Tuesday’s press conference very exciting and full of fireworks” (sic)
