Huddersfield coach Andy Kelly was delighted to see his side put in an impressive defensive display on the way to victory against Hull FC.

The Giants ran out 22-12 winners against Hull FC at the John Smith’s Stadium, keeping the visitors to just two tries.

“I was really pleased with the result tonight,” Kelly told Sky.

“They worked really hard and it’s a great result for the boys.

“Going in with the lead at half-time we needed to have the confidence and the belief to carry that in the second half.

“When the rain started to come I thought we handled that and played the conditions really well.

“The defence was the back bone of the performance.”
