Keith Senior will take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to support and help raise money for his former team-mate Rob Burrow.

Life for a Kid Warriors, the trek team linked to Rugby League All Stars, will take on two laps of the Yorkshire Three Peaks on July 9-10 in support of Burrow, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2019.

The Warriors raised £18,000 last year for Burrow with their Ben Nevis trek and this new challenge is 50 miles in 24 hours with an elevation of 3,344.

A Life for a Kid spokesperson said: “A tough ask for anyone but bearing in mind this bunch of ex-rugby players boast a range of old injuries including a broken back, bulging discs, fused ankles and two new knees it’s the biggest one yet!

“The only member of the team who has completed this before is Keith Senior who did it last year for Rob with ex team-mates Barrie McDermott and Luke Ambler. He vowed afterwards “never again” but we’ve talked him into it!”
