League One side Keighley have announced the signing of David Weetman until the end of the 2019 season.

A loose forward by trade who can move around in the pack if required, Weetman joins the club after requesting a release from Newcastle Thunder earlier this week.

Hailing from Cramlington, Northumberland, Weetman is a product of the Thunder’s academy system and broke into the first team towards the end of the 2018 campaign.

He has gone on to make six first team appearances at Kingston Park, scoring 2 tries, and has been handed the number 40 jersey by new Cougars Head Coach Rhys Lovegrove.
