Elliot Kear is eager to cap the 2017 campaign by representing Wales at the Rugby League World Cup in Australia later this year.

The London Broncos player has 21 caps to his name and most recently represented Wales in their 20-14 victory over Italy last October which secured their place in the tournament.

“If I’m fit and playing well, I want to be on that plane going to Australia,” he told the club’s official website.

“Rhys Williams and I talk about it quite a bit – it was a big thing with the Wales team last season, building a good, strong team, and building into it.

“We won the European Cup, which was great, so now hopefully we can just keep a strong squad and go into that looking to get into another quarter-final – out of the group stages basically.

“Playing at home in Cardiff in the World Cup was a great experience at Millennium Stadium. The results didn’t really go our way that year, but as I said, great experience, and hopefully I can be there again.”
