Kear adds to Bulls injury woe

Bradford winger Elliot Kear has been ruled out for two months with a broken bone in his wrist.

Kear, 23, joined the Bulls in the close season from Crusaders, but broke his Scaphoid in the game against Warrington on Saturday, and will miss the next eight rounds of Super League.

It is a further injury blow for Bradford, who also this week lost prop Craig Kopczak for six to eight weeks with a broken finger.

Bulls Football Manager Stuart Duffy said: “Coming on the back of the injuries to Luke Gale and Craig Kopczak, this is a further blow to our squad but we have other options in his position and will have to cope without Elliot for the time being.”

Wales international Kear had been an ever present in the Bulls side this season, starting all five Super League games, and scoring his first try for the club in the round one defeat to Catalan.

Last season, he scored four tries in 12 Super League appearances for the now defunct Crusaders Super League franchise.
