Kavanagh commits to Bradford

Front-rower Ben Kavanagh has extended his stay at Bradford until the end of 2018.
The former Widnes Vikings prop joined the Bulls in December 2015 and featured in the World Cup for Scotland three years ago alongside fellow Bradford players Danny Addy, Dale Ferguson and Rhys Lovegrove.
Kavanagh played in the two pre-season games and opening stages of Round One against Featherstone Rovers, before getting injured.
However, the 28-year-old is nearing his return and cannot wait to get back out on the pitch.
“I’m really happy to have signed an extension on my contract,” Kavanagh said.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time here since I arrived and I’m looking forward to moving forward with the club.
“Steve and the board and the rest of the club have believed in me and I really want to repay them once I return from injury and show the fans what I can really do.”
Bulls managing director Steve Ferres said the club is thrilled to have retained Kavanagh.
“He showed his ability in the friendlies and against Featherstone and it will be great to have him back in the side once he returns from injury in the next few weeks,” he said.
