Kalyn Ponga to make Queensland debut; New South Wales bring in three new players

Kalyn Ponga is set to make his Queensland debut on Sunday, while three players have been brought into the New South Wales squad.

Maroons coach Kevin Walters has made just one change to his side that lost 22-12 to the Blues in Origin I. Newcastle Knights star Ponga could make his State of Origin debut as he replaces Anthony Milford. Australia ace Billy Slater could return from injury, while Tim Glasby is on standby.

Blues boss Brad Fittler has brought three new players into his 20-man squad that will attempt to win the 2018 State of Origin series.

Ryan James, Matt Prior and Luke Keary come into the squad. Reagan Campbell-Gillard is ruled out of the game after suffering a broken jaw in Penrith Panthers’ clash with Sydney Roosters on the weekend. Nick Cotric has been left out of the squad.

Origin II takes place at ANZ Stadium on Sunday, 10:40am kick-off (UK time).

Maroons 18-man squad: Jai Arrow, Will Chambers, Gavin Cooper, Dane Gagai, Tim Glasby, Coen Hess, Valentine Holmes, Ben Hunt, Greg Inglis, Felise Kaufusi, Andrew McCullough, Josh McGuire, Cameron Munster, Dylan Napa, Josh Papalii, Kalyn Ponga, Billy Slater, Jarrod Wallace.

Blues 20-man squad: Josh Addo-Carr, Nathan Cleary, Damien Cook, Boyd Cordner, Angus Crichton, Jack De Belin, Tyson Frizell, Ryan James, Luke Keary, David Klemmer, James Maloney, Latrell Mitchell, Tyrone Peachey, Matt Prior, James Roberts, Tariq Sims, James Tedesco, Jake Trbojevic, Tom Trbojevic, Paul Vaughan.
