Leigh may suffered their first defeat of the Qualifiers against Leeds last night but Centurions head coach Neil Jukes admits this past season has been a massive landmark for the club.

“Despite losing we can be really proud. They will enjoy the break and we will get ready for a big year next year,” Jukes Told Sky Sports.

“It has been phenomenal what the players and the staff have achieved and it’s a really good model for us to build on certainly for next year.”

Jukes admitted his side didn’t show their full potential in the clash at Headingley.

“Our kicking game wasn’t where it has been the past six weeks,” he said.

“We seemed to play a lot of rugby in our own half and against a team like Leeds with so much quality and depth you make it really difficult for yourselves.”
